This is a speedy chocolate cake with cocoa and chocolate chip chunks!
It’s simple and quick to make – is there any better kind of cake?
Preparation time : 10 mins
Oven time : 60 – 65 mins
140g self-raising flour
85g powdered almonds
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp cocoa powder
50g chocolate chips
How to : Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy, add the eggs, flour, almonds, baking powder, cocoa and finally the milk and beat until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour into a grease proof paper lined loaf tin. Bake at 165°C for 60 – 65 mins until a skewer poked in the center comes out clean. Leave to cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack and leave to cool completely before decorating and slicing.
Moist and chocolaty
It also freezes really well (un-iced) which makes it an even better recipe!
