This is yet another recipe for biscuits/cookies which can be made with very little effort and are so so nice.

These biscuits are lovely and chewy, thanks to the cherries and the muscovado sugar and they also have a bit of bite thanks to the chocolate pieces – uumm!

~crunchy crumbly chocolate chip cookies~

These biscuits are crunchy all the way without any soft center or doughy texture. I’ve been using this recipe for ages, I think it originally came from the back of a chocolate bar. It’s pretty simple and even beginner bakers or students missing home comforts should manage to make them without any trouble.

~brownies a la mayo~

 

I fancied something chocolaty, anything chocolaty and I didn’t want to spend all day baking or have millions of calories sooooooooo it was time to make some brownies…  with mayonnaise! These are as delicious as any other brownie BUT contain no butter and only a fraction of the sugar usually found in brownie recipes.

~biscotti – the perfect dipper~

These dry crunchy biscuits are neither French nor Scottish but nevertheless very moreish and perfect for dipping in hot tea, fruit tea, coffee or hot choc.! Be warned – without dipping they are rock hard! They don’t go off, or soft, even after 4 weeks in the biscuit tin so a great secret to have ready for those unplanned « hi, I thought I’d just pop in » times! In December I also wrapped some to give away as pressies, so when I received an unexpected gift I could quickly whip out a bag of biscotti and voilà!
